Exam Success all round!
A'Level results have continued to go from strength to strength at Abbey Grange, with yet another record breaking year for our superb year 13 cohort in terms of both progress and attainment.
An impressive 40% of students achieved 3 A'Levels at Grades A*-B, up from 32% last year. 22% achieved 3 A'Levels at AAB, up from 16% last year.
It is difficult to pick out specific students as so many has performed so well. However, a particular mention must go to Martin Parker who achieved 4A*'s and is heading off to study Maths at Oxford and Laura Cunliffe and Ben Khullar who leave us to study medicine. Well done!
Results have been outstanding for a number of years at Abbey Grange and this is down to the hard work, communication and desire of staff, students and parents to Educate, Nurture & Empower. Congratulations to all students and we wish you the very best of luck with your next step.
We are really pleased with our 2018 GCSE 9-4 English and Maths measure of 79%, which is in line with last year. Our 9-5 English and Maths measure has increased to 61%, well above last year’s National Average of 43%.
78% of our students have achieved 5 standard pass grades including English and Maths, even with the new tougher GCSE content for most subjects!
We are very proud of the 64 students who achieved a grade 9 in one or more subject areas. Achieving a grade 9 means they are in the top 3% nationally!
We look forward to seeing many of our students back in September, as they start their Post 16 courses. Well done for a great set of results!
