Exam Success all round! A-Level A fantastic set of A-level results have been achieved this year by our Year 13 students, currently even better than our great results of 2016! There were 36 A*grades and 84 A grades, meaning that 30% of our results were either A* or A grades. Overall the average grade was a B, meaning that students were in a good position to get their university places. It was great to see lots of smiling faces of students who had already found out that they were accepted at university before even arriving to pick up their results. Particular congratulations to James Hobson and Matthew Feaster who both accepted a place to study at Oxford University. Well done to all our A-level students for such impressive results and good luck to you as you move on from Abbey Grange.
GCSE We are really pleased with our 2017 GCSE 5+ A*C including English and Maths measure which has improved from last year, even with the new tougher Maths and English GCSE content. This means that 78% of our students have achieved 5 standard pass grades including English and Maths, our best ever! We are very proud of the 25 students who achieved the new grade 9 in either Maths, English Language or Literature with some achieving this in more than one subject. Achieving a grade 9 means they are in the top 3% nationally! We also saw our best ever EBacc score. This is the number of students who achieve a good pass in Maths, English, Science, MFL and History, Geography or Computer Science. We look forward to seeing many of our students back in September, as they start their Post 16 courses. Well done for a great set of results!
