Every parent, carer and member of staff at Abbey Grange is a member of the PTA. We are led by a friendly and enthusiastic PTA committee which is open to everyone. The PTA exists to support the school. If you are interested in second hand uniform, we will have our current stock available before PTA meetings (from 7pm). Meetings are held monthly during term time. You will find details on the school calendar and a general reminder is e-mailed to parents a week prior to meetings PTA funds recently: A massive ‘Thank you’ to all who supported our winter fair in December 2017 ! The money raised has been put to good use. E-Books Library - £300.00 Pond Area - £300.00 2 Attendance Prizes – £50.00 School Council budget - £100.00 Marrick Retreat - £700.00 PE Dance Off - £110.00 Hardship Fund - £400.00 Music department (for music stands) £250.00 A regular amount is also placed into the school hardship fund each year. This website allows big companies to donate to charity when you shop with them online. You can find us there under Abbey Grange PTA, and naming us as your cause means that we receive donations at no cost to you. Thank you very much for supporting Abbey Grange PTA. Winter Fair 2017 Here is a sample of some of the fantastic prizes you can win by taking part in the winter fair raffle. There is still the opportunity to purchase tickets via parent pay, or at the winter fair itself on 18th November, when the prize draw will take place. Annual General Meeting 2017 Our 2017 took place on Monday 24th April, with the minutes available on the right of this page.
The PTA 100 Club 100 Club members have a chance to win £50 in our monthly draw. There are 100 numbers in the draw and the cost is £10 for a year's membership. To join, leave your details and payment at the school office, marked "PTA: 100 Club" and a club number will be allocated to you and you will be included in the next draw. Good luck! If you were a member last year, remember to join again to be part of the draw for this year. The 100 Club draw for June 2017 took place and the winner is parent of a child in Selby Abbey. Refreshments The PTA runs a refreshments stall at Parent Consultation Meetings and Open Evenings to provide tea, coffee and soft drinks for students, their families and staff. To make this possible we need lots of volunteers. We work in small, friendly teams and it's a good way to get to know people. If you would like to help making and selling refreshments, please leave a message for the PTA, with your contact details, at the school office. You need only be able to help occasionally.
