Pi Day Pi Day is the celebration of the number that is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. The celebration is held annually on 14th March as using the American date format 3/14 is the first three digits of pi, which is 3.14. This year students in Year 7 created group posters. The winners were tweeted. Other year groups had pi or circle work including puzzles and games. Lots of the Maths staff wore mathematical tops for the day. Numeracy Week Numeracy week was based around the Euro 2016 competition and took place during the week beginning the 4th July. Each form had been allocated a country from the list of 24 teams. Students in Year 7 and 8 explored a different aspect of Numeracy across their lessons or as a homework.
