Congratulations to our GCSE Class of 2024 who achieved some of Abbey Grange's best ever GCSE Results this summer. This year group have worked so hard over the last two years and prepared themselves incredibly well for these exams and we're delighted to see that this has paid off with some sensational exam results. Over a third of grades were at Grade 7 or above (the old A Grade) and over 90% of students achieved a Grade 4 or above in English, with 85% achieving a Grade 9 in maths. In the significant majority of subjects, students on average achieved over half a grade higher than their extremely aspirational targets.
There were 8 students who achieved 8 or more Grade 9s across the board and two students who achieved all 10 GCSEs at Grade 9. An incredible achievement.
Principal, Simon Prinsep, said "What a fantastic celebration of results for such a hard working, enthusiastic and lovely year group of students. You can't take away the fact that this year group were heavily affected by Covid in the first two years of their Secondary School journey. Their achievements have been phenomenal and it also means that the vast majority have achieved the entry requirements to join our sixth form. So, we will continue to see them celebrate into A Levels and onwards. Congratulations to our students who have worked so hard, our parents and families who have given us unwavering support and, of course, to our fantastic team of teachers and support staff who have put so much into getting these outstanding results.
