Prayer Spaces in school

Our students in years 7 & 8 have been visiting Prayer Spaces, a classroom transformed into a reflective and prayerful space for all students to explore prayer in creative ways.

Working with Leeds Faith in Schools we have made petal prayer and skittle prayers, shredded or erased our worries and doubts, asked Big Questions of God and prayed for people across our city and the world. Students have appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the chance to step away from the busyness of the school day, even for an hour. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many commenting how they would love to do it more often- and older students wondering when they might visit.

A wonderful way to explore prayer at this time of year as we prepare for Easter.
