Hello, I’m Mr Swarbrooke and I am the Achievement Director for Key Stage 3. I work closely with students in Year 7, 8 and 9 and want to ensure that all students make the most of their time here at Abbey Grange Academy. I want to ensure that we inspire students and believe that you should have no limits on your aspirations. I started at Abbey Grange in 2015 working within the PE department, worked as the Head of Enrichment and, Curriculum Leader for PE before progressing into my current role as Achievement Director for Student Development. I now have responsibility for Key Stage 3 and my current role includes overseeing year managers, looking at attainment and student progress as well as offering pastoral care for students in Key Stage 3. Within my role I also managed student council, transition and facilitate the options process for students heading into Key Stage 4. I would strongly encourage Year 7 students to get involved in and take part in the many extracurricular opportunities we have, to enrich your learning. This is also an excellent way to make new friendships.
