Prior to joining Abbey Grange in September 2024, I spent 20 years at Beckfoot Oakbank, where I held a variety of roles, each contributing to my growth as an educator and leader. I began my journey as a Progress Leader for Transition and Key Stage 3, supporting students in their early academic development and helping them navigate their transition into secondary school. My dedication to student welfare and success led to my promotion as Head of Year 12 and 13, where I worked closely with sixth-form students to ensure they reached their full potential both academically and personally. Building on this experience, I advanced to the role of Assistant Head: 14-19 Pathways and Post 16, where I oversaw a wide range of initiatives aimed at enhancing student pathways, including career guidance, curriculum development, and post-16 planning. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about fostering a supportive, student-centered environment, promoting academic achievement, and preparing students for successful futures. My work has been grounded in a deep commitment to student well-being and achievement, helping every learner reach their goals in a rapidly changing educational landscape.
