Mrs F Sugden

I would like to introduce myself as the new Year Manager for Year 10. Although I am new to Abbey Grange as a member of staff, I am a former pupil. My experience at Abbey Grange helped shape me into the person I am today, instilling morals and values through adolescence that have served me throughout my life. The schools nurturing environment laid the foundations for me to achieve the best possible results and when the opportunity arose to return to Abbey Grange in a pastoral role, I knew I could not miss it! Being in a school that embodies my core values is really important to me. I am excited to be working with staff and students who strive every day to support each other. It really is a pleasure.

I have previously worked in a similar role and within an attendance team. I aim to work with the students to ensure they leave Abbey Grange with the best possible grades, whilst also learning life skills that mean they go on to be valuable members of society. I want to support students being kind to others around them and present themselves in the best possible way to others.

I pride myself in being fair, funny and consistent. I am committed to ensuring all students are listened to and feel part of the Abbey Grange family. My favourite thing to do in my spare time is to spend time with my family, watching rugby, exploring the outdoors, and watching films. I can't wait to find out more about the interests of the students at Abbey Grange!
